గెలుపు నిన్ను ప్రపంచానికి పరిచయం చేస్తుంది. ఓటమి ప్రపంచమును నీకు పరిచయం చేస్తుంది.

Often I hear the words : what a movie! most modern!Keeping the new gen in mind! etc.,

Often i come across who refer certain movies as movies of 80's 70's....Recently Singham was called a mindless 80's entertainer.

For me movie can never be classified into years trends and ages. Its the way the movie was/is packaged matters. Preachy or non preachy or modern or youthful -all these are conveniences. My mother in her 50's said" bagaa tisadura' about manasanta nuvve. My son said " enta baagundi" about sagarasangamam. Two generations separated by fifty years reacted to two movies of past and present in this way.

Why Iam reacting in this way? Because  I read  in a review that "pilla Zamindar" is regressive and lacks novelty. Its my fortune i had not paid attention to the review and saw the movie.

Dear Reviewers,  whats the yardstick to measure the caliber of the movie?  Most of you have concluded it is nani who made it watchable or no good humour or dragging second half etc.,

No one spoke the merits the movie presented.

For me Pilla Zamindar  is the second good film this year after virodhi. It represented the missing ideals of life in a good way. After many years we saw a government college, dignified staff and college atmosphere. Words like NCC and NSS may be very alien to gen X .It showcased the concept of humanism, good friendship and the value of education. After years some good is shown for the cause of telugu.

The way the song "ayyayo chetilo dabbulu..." is made will make you laugh heartily.

No  doubt Nani performed very well. At the same time every other artiste made their presence.

Don't think this is a great movie. But its great because it tried a different line-- 80's(in words of my fellow reviewers)  It preaches but never bores you. A good dose of humour which  never tries to  go over board.

Music photography taking etc., are not up to mark. the direction and screenplay were stuck and directionless at certain points. The logic of letting loose a guy for 21 years and tightening him later is never properly explained. You can come out  with lot of loop holes.

THEN WHY SUCH A PRAISE IN THE ABOVE PARAGRAPHS.
SURPRISINGLY THE SCENES ARE FLAVOURED WITH SOME FINE DIALOGUES. IN FACT THE FILMS  STRENGTH LIES IN ITS WRITING. THE DIALOGUE WRITER  HAVE WRITTEN DIALOGUES IN A FASCINATING WAY. IN FACT THE CONVERSATIONS PLACED THE MOVIE AT A HEIGHT AND COVERED UP FOR MUSIC  AND PHOTOGRAPHY. HERE ARE A FEW I CHERISHED AND MESSAGED TO LOT OF MY FRIENDS:

After a long time i saw quality of writing. The movie is hugely benefited by such dialogues and 80's like atmosphere. It never resorts to ugly and moronic practices.
Watch it with your mom and dad.
watch it with your son and daughter
watch it with your friends.
If it is 80's or 70's movie let me assure you Telugu cinema's gems evolved during that time.
Its not preachy. Its dialogues will inspire you. Go

oops :oosaravelli:

Our hero proclaimed he wanted the story to dominate the proceedings not hero power. thats why he gave a lot of importance to the heroine's flashback in the second half. But the generosity of the hero has not generated the needed support for this movie.
perhaps the title is so named  because the hero behaves in most confusing way with different characters in the movie. But the original meaning of the word and this title never match.
I never understand our telugu movies masala intentions. In choodlani undi the hero is in grief of missing his son yet he dances and makes a lot of fun. In almost all movies the hero's behavior and flashback never match. The same here.
nothing specific to write a review here. Nothing specific to recount.

What i understand is:
the combination of hero heroine director matters
the novelty of title matters
the masala beat matters
no of screen releases matters.
STORY NEVER MATTERS

తెలుగు సినిమాను రకరకాల దారులు పట్టిస్తున్న వీళే నిజమైన ఊసరవెల్లులు

the birth of a superstar

please dont ask my opinion on dookudu.
but ask me what can i infer from this super hit of the year.
i saw crowds going beserk even on 25th day of the movie.
i saw elders discussing the charm of the hero
i saw people celebrating the success wholeheartedly
i saw youngsters imitating the dialogue: Police
i saw girls adoring the hero
i saw families waiting for their chance to get into the theatre.
i saw a lot of hysteria among everyone in the hall and no one is sad.

YES. MAHESH IS NOW A SOCIAL HABIT. A MUCH NEEDED QUALITY TO THE ROAD OF SUPERSTARDOM,
Mahesh babu undoubtedly achieved the cult status of the superstar with dhookudu. Last time i saw such mood happening at only chiraneevi rajni or amitabh. After a long time the mood returned to the hall
