AYYARE

Ayyare is built on an interesting premise. In the voice over when the titles are rolling the director makes very clear of the outline of the movie. Its built on the inference that life sometimes gets affected by the actions and words of strangers whom we never met. The film has its merits and shines at certain points. As far as content story are concerned this is a far better product than the recently released big movies.

Sivaji and Rajendra prasad are Telugu cinema's two good actors with perfect timing and good  body language. They make this film lively and engaging with their immaculate performance. The films comes up with a clean portrayal of the story never resorting to cheap gimmicks. The surprise package of the movie is sai kumar and he delivers goods with a finesse he is famous for.

How ever the director fails to bring the necessary emotional angle particularly in rajendra prasad's character. Its     a  pity that having such good story and such fine actors the directors misses the emotional quotient which connects the audience with the story. The love for an ailing daughter and a fathers compulsion to save his daughter, a confused man whose love which seemed very successful only to fail in the last minute and a greedy mans opportunism are well connected but that brilliance is only up to that point.

With scope to present human nature to the core the  director resorts to simple conclusions. The fathers agony the lovers agony the greed are all worth a conflict.  The director misses the heart. Of course he come up with a neat narrative.

The take on fake baba's, weakness of human beings and how intelligent people are fooled are presented in a very hilarious way. The humour is not forced and at the same is not rib tickling. It is gentle and soothing.

Go for this one if you are free and has to do nothing.  GO for this one if you are to choose a movie to watch this weekend. Go for this one if you want a decent one for your family.

In one of the intense scenes of the movie saikumar tells Rajenrdraprasad:

తనను తాను నమ్ముకున్న వాడికి దేవుడి అవసరము ఉండదు. ఎవరికైతే లక్ష్మి (డబ్బు) హాఠాత్తుగా కలిసి వస్తుందో వాడికి భయము. ఎలా వచ్చింది అలా వెళ్ళిపొతుంది అని. అలాంటి వాళ్ళు దేవుడ్ని బాబాలను పెంచి పొషిస్తారు.

The director believed in himself only for a half. Rest he believed in god.

BUSINESS MAN: SADDA HAQ TAKES THE STORY ROUTE

IN ENGLISH THESE LINES MEAN :

I love the rebel in me. he is the real me. he always has the characteristics which other hate while i love. i adore him because he never fears. I worship him because he know he is his own god.I respect him for he commands respect. I honour him for he is the one whom i killed in pursuit of life and he sacrificed for my rise. But he comes into my dreams and often crushes my theories with his rebellious yet realistic questions.
what if such a man really exists?

what if such man rattles society  with his theories?
what if such man uncovers the HYDE in the society?

BUSINESS MAN TRIES TO TELL THE STORY OF SUCH REBEL.

The protagonist is modeled on such lines. Abused childhood and heartless society makes him question the very foundations of society. Every line he utters rattles the  people around him. He shows money is not a big matter to earn in the present system disaster. The protagonist wants a lover because the king needs queen. He don't care because he has nothing to care for. He knows what he is doing and wants to do it. And through out the movie the character remains consistent.

There are two things that made me like the movie. The hero and the directors approach.

The hero should be applauded for accepting this role because no where in the movie the protagonist tries to justify his living. That does  not mean he knows he is doing wrong. Here in this context the hero does what ever makes him reach his destiny. He wants power. Wild power. To control a society which made him suffer. A lust of power is seen in his eyes through out and the message he delivers to the youth defines his character. His way and methods are very similar to a rebel trying to prove himself. He has no remorse for lying to win his love and he has no fear in revealing he truth to his love convincingly. Its to difficult to handle him. The only way ......follow him.
The director also the dialogue and story (lets call it even if there is nothing)  writer is very particular in shaping the hero. I think he was so immersed in the design of hero that he cared less for all other characters in the movie. This was not first time puri jagannadh does this. In Neninthe as well as Ek niranjan also he made this way of presentation. In both those movies hero is not rebel..note this the heroes are a part of society and adjust to the realism of society. But in Business Man puri jagannadh presents us the real REBEL. and this is where he will strike gold this time. He never tried to impress the audience with justifications. THAT'S IT. THE HERO IS SUCH BECAUSE HE IS. All credit to the director for his stunning dialogue and the courage to put up his protagonist against the rules.

Now where we stand? This movie will whip up emotions in the age group of 15-25 like hell. The foul words, the vulgar symbolism and the rough rash attitude of the protagonist is sure to have a long lasting affect on the youth and teenagers. The hero has no respect for his love...its again the domination game...he convinces her he makes her believe...he never loves her the love which he never feels as she was only a protection for him. This will also infuse such practices in the youth category who go out of a schools at a very young age.
________________________________________________

Dear mahesh, you are our next gen super star. Cinema is a social habit in our society. And a super stars movie is a feast for  entire family. After Chiranjeevis exit no one filled it. You  now seem to be choice of every one. we are in love with this new star. And being a super star it becomes a responsibility because you are adored by millions including children and your child is also a part of it. So you can understand.....if you say verrii....and the rest in mime children do follow it. so take care of such things. Being a rebel never means mouthing foul words.

And the director sir ...your talent is more than the films you make. this time you are lucky. you are lucky because of your pen and mahesh.  Previously your are not lucky because you are not with this star. Don't apply same characterizations to every one. What film is this? Do you thing any logic in filming such stuff? i heard some one remarking that villains in puris movies in the last scenes beg the hero. such repeated scenes(the entire hero-heroine track is a rehash of pokiri and a lot of your previous movies) make a sorry picture of you before a real critic. You adore Ram Gopal Varma (its evident you make a lot of praise on him). He is a dismal director these days because what ever he does(technical excellency) every new comer is doing now.Learn to make stories into films not characters into films. With such riveting Dialogue with such a fine super star a good story would have been a mile stone.
_______________________________________

Still this is a mile stone. Today i went to body guard. I saw the audience gasping. I heard a kid saying businessman super ra.(hear it mahesh..its a kid) .

yeah,. The new gen film has come.the new trends emerged,. Our hero is no more a neat dressed young man. Our hero is no more an angry young man beating up police. Our hero is no more in a mood to pick up the chain of a cycle. Our hero is man on a mission. he wants love money and power. he needs no society to support him. He makes the society wait for him. He asks his followers to believe in themselves. He has no justifications. He is no more the chocolate boy.Love him or hate him.The NEXT GEN SUPER STAR ARRIVED.

Frankly this movie is like a powerful drug which is concealed in various dirty covers. Once you come in touch with the drug you will not care much for the covers. So its waiting time till the covers are uncovered and no one can stop themselves from being addicted.

In this movie Director Puri played a cameo as a taxi driver who kidnaps the heroine with a sedative. In the same way he used two sedatives--his dialogues and mahesh --to lure us and forget about the rest of the movie. He succeeded in a great way.

sri rama rajyam

Look at the the two photos above. The top one was from lavakusa  and bottom one from rama rajyam. both the photos tell you that large sea of  gap between the original and  the remake.

With all due respect and honour to Sri Bapu I tell you folks who read this review that SRI RAMA RAJYAM is a  mockery of lord sri rama.  Perhaps the film maker was in the deep agony of his dearest friends untimely demise. The famous bapu touch is clearly missing. Except for few sparks here and there the film made me very uncomfortable to sit for two long hours,.

My mother rarely watches  movies. She is a ram  devotee and reading Ramayana  is one  of her daily  activities. Umpteen number of times when iam depressed she always encouraged me with verses of Ramayana.. Myself while teaching social made it a compulsory trait to quote Ramayana. I grew up listening to Ramayana tales from elders, reading it in chandamama and trying to understand a great timeless marvel. Even in graduation days C.Rajagopalacharis English version of Ramayana accompanied me in various dark hours. Even today in my home lots of Ramayan books texts  are available. Such influence on mankind is never seen and felt .

And all credit to Sri NTR who played the role of lord sri ram very authentically. Its beyond imagination to imagine some one stepping into his shoes. His son dares and falls.

Lord sree Ram is shown in very pathetic way in this newer version.Ram is an ideal man for us. In most of the scenes lord sri  Ram appears in devdas shades. And the make up makes this characterization unbearable.Balakrishna never attempts to bring the required  divinity which is very much essential to this       character.  Be it the decision to send sita to forests be it the pathos be it the dual with the kids the actor never rises to the occasion. Such was the scenario that  i wanted to run away every time sree ram appeared on the screen.

Its sad  that a movie maker of such standards sinks into a hurry some movie. yes everything is hurried. such movies come rarely and every care should be taken to make it a pleasant memory.   I never understood the graphic quotient in this movie. Of all the mythologies this was the one which requires less graphic effort. Even fire in yagams is graphically presented and it appears comical. The settings the visuals the taking all are mediocre. with a technology available at this stage this  movies comes nowhere to the original which was made with a very low technological resources compared to this day.  Its hard to believe this same director directed Sampoorna Ramyanam and who characterizes his films taking  metaphors from Ramayana. Its shocking to see that the film maker who changed the Telugu movie scenario with his path breaking Sakshi depend on graphics and  sets. This story happen in forest and why the movie maker opted for such silly graphics.Few months back my son watched sagara sangamam in awe and today he seemed to be out of place.

Sad to see music composer of stature illayraja come with such stuff. Definitely we need not compare with the classic. But here is an ample chance to create divine renditions. Except for the last song all others never make you feel holy or divine. Music and Ramayana are inseparable. And this film's music makes you sick.

No try was made to match the standards. Definitely liberties are taken(hanuman staying with sita). Emotions are never properly played. The entire washer mans episode is hurried. Two characters in Ramayanaare pivotal. Mandara and Tippadu. Even in TV Ramayana utmost care is taken to portray these characters. Here its  again a mere come and go episode.

what more can i say. you are not making a film with some new story. you are making a film on a epic that this entire country  knows from  start to end. you are making a film on a epic that entire country  worships. how careful you should be.

my mother said everything is so  artificial in this movie. yes everything is artificial.people said nayan tara lived the character of sita. well she tried and definitely performed better. and that does not make her performance A rated. she is dignified and carried her part well. Its the kids who played hanuman and lava and kusa and other ashram children lighten the dull proceedings. Even bapus magic was displayed only during that kid part.

and by the iam writing this the film  is said to be a hit and completed a fifty  day run. people called it a hit. a lot may have visited to get the feel they got years back. and some times hit films need not be good films.

i followed the run and of the view that a thought " people are missing something by not watching the movie" is created. yes. you missed two and a half hour time in your life.
