AYYARE

Ayyare is built on an interesting premise. In the voice over when the titles are rolling the director makes very clear of the outline of the movie. Its built on the inference that life sometimes gets affected by the actions and words of strangers whom we never met. The film has its merits and shines at certain points. As far as content story are concerned this is a far better product than the recently released big movies.

Sivaji and Rajendra prasad are Telugu cinema's two good actors with perfect timing and good  body language. They make this film lively and engaging with their immaculate performance. The films comes up with a clean portrayal of the story never resorting to cheap gimmicks. The surprise package of the movie is sai kumar and he delivers goods with a finesse he is famous for.

How ever the director fails to bring the necessary emotional angle particularly in rajendra prasad's character. Its     a  pity that having such good story and such fine actors the directors misses the emotional quotient which connects the audience with the story. The love for an ailing daughter and a fathers compulsion to save his daughter, a confused man whose love which seemed very successful only to fail in the last minute and a greedy mans opportunism are well connected but that brilliance is only up to that point.

With scope to present human nature to the core the  director resorts to simple conclusions. The fathers agony the lovers agony the greed are all worth a conflict.  The director misses the heart. Of course he come up with a neat narrative.

The take on fake baba's, weakness of human beings and how intelligent people are fooled are presented in a very hilarious way. The humour is not forced and at the same is not rib tickling. It is gentle and soothing.

Go for this one if you are free and has to do nothing.  GO for this one if you are to choose a movie to watch this weekend. Go for this one if you want a decent one for your family.

In one of the intense scenes of the movie saikumar tells Rajenrdraprasad:

తనను తాను నమ్ముకున్న వాడికి దేవుడి అవసరము ఉండదు. ఎవరికైతే లక్ష్మి (డబ్బు) హాఠాత్తుగా కలిసి వస్తుందో వాడికి భయము. ఎలా వచ్చింది అలా వెళ్ళిపొతుంది అని. అలాంటి వాళ్ళు దేవుడ్ని బాబాలను పెంచి పొషిస్తారు.

The director believed in himself only for a half. Rest he believed in god.
